Chicken Caesar Salad Wraps are the easiest way to enjoy everything I love about a classic Caesar salad; Crisp romaine, creamy Caesar dressing, Parmesan and juicy chicken, all wrapped up for a quick, healthy lunch or dinner. I cook these for my family regularly as a main meal with plenty of warm cooked chicken. It makes a filling, high protein meal that is delicious!

Wraps are awesome! Endlessly versatile, reliable, ready in minutes and they travel brilliantly

These Chicken Caesar Salad Wraps have become a family favourite in our house, my wife loves them! They've got everything we love about a classic Caesar salad wrapped up in a soft tortilla: crisp romaine, crunchy homemade croutons, plenty of Parmesan and a good drizzle of my creamy Caesar dressing. I don’t like to toot my own horn often but my Caesar dressing is the best!!

They're fresh, healthy and perfect for busy days, but they also make great lunches for lunchboxes for the kids, perfect for picnics and great to take to work for lunch. I made these recently for a day out to the beach….It made our lunch so much more special than a quick sandwich thrown together and squished into a beach bag!

What makes these chicken Caesar salad wraps standout is the chicken cooked on a griddle pan. It gives the chicken that classic charred flavour, mixed with the Caesar dressing it is special.

If your family loves these Chicken Caesar salad wraps as much as mine does, you’re in good company - we’ve got plenty more flavour‑packed Lunches. Here are a few more recipes that always go down well at our table:

Ingredients and substitutions for Chicken Caesar salad wraps:

Chicken Caesar salad wrap ingredients

See recipe card for quantities.

  • Soft tortilla wraps – Use any size you like. Large wraps hold more filling, but smaller ones are great for lunchboxes. Wholemeal, seeded or gluten‑free wraps all work well too.
  • Romaine lettuce – The classic Caesar crunch. Little gem or iceberg are great substitutes if that's what you've got.
  • Chicken breast – Griddled for flavour, but leftover roast chicken or rotisserie chicken make brilliant quick swaps. Thighs also work if you prefer something juicier. (I would prefer thighs, but my family are that keen!)
  • Shaved Parmesan – Freshly shaved gives the best flavour. Grana Padano or Pecorino are easy, tasty alternatives.
  • Croutons – Homemade are best (and stay crunchy longer), but shop‑bought are totally fine. Swap for toasted sourdough chunks or crispy chickpeas for a twist.
  • Caesar dressing – Use your favourite jarred dressing or go all‑in with your own homemade version. Greek yoghurt‑based Caesar dressing works if you want something lighter.

What equipment will you need to make Chicken Caesar salad wraps?

  • Cast iron Griddle pan – The flavour you get from cooking chicken on a griddle pan is second to none. You can of course cook you chicken any way you want but I love griddled Chicken.
  • Vegetable peeler – Use this to shave the parmesan. In my opinion shaved parmesan works much better than grated in this recipe as you get large bursts of flavour in each bite.

How do I make Chicken Caesar salad wraps?

Time to build a wrap that won't fall apart the second you look at it. Follow along…..a little heat, a little tossing, and you'll have a Caesar wrap that tastes far fancier than the effort you put in.

1: Cook the chicken – Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally, season with salt and pepper, and cook on a very hot griddle pan with a little oil until golden and cooked through, about 10 minutes.

2: Prep the salad – Pull the leaves from the romaine, wash and pat them completely dry. Cut to your preferred size, then add to a large bowl with the croutons and shaved Parmesan.

3: Dress the greens – Add a few tablespoons of Caesar dressing and toss well so everything is lightly coated .

4: Slice the chicken – Once cooked, slice the chicken lengthways and toss it in a little more Caesar dressing while still warm.

5: Assemble the wraps – Spread a thin layer of Caesar dressing onto each wrap to help it stick together. Add a big handful of the Caesar salad and plenty of warm griddled chicken.

6: Wrap and serve – Roll the wrap up tightly, folding in the ends so nothing escapes. Slice in half and enjoy as a main meal, quick lunch or take‑along picnic option.

Serving suggestions for Chicken Caesar wraps

  • Add a small pot of extra Caesar dressing for dipping – the kids will absolutely destroy it!
  • Serve with fresh fruit, veggie sticks or a simple Caesar salad if you want to keep the theme going.
  • For a heartier meal, serve with oven chips, sweet potato wedges or a bowl of tomato soup.
  • Pack them into lunchboxes with grapes, crisps and a treat…..they hold up brilliantly until lunchtime.
  • Take them on picnics with pasta salad, chopped veggies and cold drinks; they travel like a dream and never fall apart.

Storage and freezing

Storage – Once assembled, these Chicken Caesar Salad Wraps are best eaten fresh, but they'll keep in the fridge for up to 1 day if wrapped tightly in foil or an airtight container. If you're prepping ahead, store the components separately - chicken, romaine, Caesar dressing, and homemade croutons - and build the wraps just before serving so everything stays crisp.

Freezing – Wraps with lettuce and dressing don't freeze well, as the greens wilt and the dressing can split once thawed. so don’t freeze them, you will be dissapointed.

  • Dry your lettuce properly – damp leaves make soggy wraps, and nobody wants a soggy wrap!
  • Slice the chicken thinly so it layers neatly and doesn't try to escape out the sides.
  • Warm the wraps first – 10 seconds in a dry pan makes them softer, bendier and far less likely to tear.
  • Dress the salad lightly before wrapping, too much Caesar dressing and it’ll be dripping all over the place!
  • Roll with confidence! tuck the sides in tight and commit. Hesitation is how you end up with a salad explosion.
