Equipment

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe avocados
  • 1 Red onion
  • 2 Limes
  • 1 Red chilli
  • 4 Tomatoes
  • handful Corriander/cilantro

Instructions

  • Remove the skin and stone from the avocados, then roughly chop the flesh and add it to a mixing bowl. Using a fork, mash the avocado to your preferred consistency, keep it slightly chunky for a better texture.
  • Finely dice the red onion, chilli and coriander. Deseed the tomatoes, then finely dice them.
  • Add the tomato, red onion, chilli and coriander to the mashed avocado and mix well to combine
  • Season with salt and pepper, then squeeze in the lime juice to taste (using both limes if desired).
  • Give everything a final mix and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use ripe but not overripe avocados for the best creamy texture and flavour.

  • Adjust the chilli to suit your spice preference, or remove it for a milder version.

  • Fresh lime juice not only adds flavour but also helps prevent the avocado from browning.

  • For the best taste, serve immediately, as guacamole is freshest on the day it’s made.

  • If needed, store with cling film pressed directly onto the surface to minimise air exposure.
